After months of hard work, I’m beyond excited to finally reveal a project that is special to me and close to my heart.

Our latest full-house remodel is in Old Louisville, the heart of the country’s largest collection of restored Victorian homes. If you know me, you know how much I love this neighborhood’s history and charm—so getting to help a client turn their Historic Beauty into a true dream home was an absolute honor.

Our client wanted earth tones and natural elements throughout, and we worked hard to deliver a look that feels both classic and current. Here are a few of my favorite features from this transformation:

- Custom bathroom vanities handcrafted by our team (these are truly one-of-a-kind!)

- Saltillo Terra Cotta kitchen tiles and Marrakech-inspired bathroom floors for that warm, inviting vibe

- Natural stone counters in the kitchen and baths—durable, beautiful, and always in style

- Custom crown molding on the first floor, built and installed by our crew to match the home’s original grandeur

- Painting ceilings, walls, and crown molding the same color, in each room for a seamless, intentional look

- Sherwin Williams Sage and Natural Linen colors throughout, bringing a calming, cohesive feel to every space

Enso, one of our absolute favorite Louisville spots, is officially back, and it’s better than ever. After a temporary closure following last year’s fire, they’ve reopened with a refreshed menu and the same incredible energy we’ve always loved. We were beyond excited to be invited to their exclusive soft opening, and trust me, this was a night to remember.

We kicked things off with some sharable small plates that set the tone for the evening. The Truffle Ramen Eggs were a savory dream, and the Shish*to Peppers had just the right amount of char and heat. But the real showstoppers? The Nashville Hot Fish Cake and the comforting Chicken, Rice, and Gravy—both packed with flavor and perfect for passing around the table.

When it came time for entrees, three out of four of us couldn’t resist diving into the Duck Dipping Noodles. Rich, indulgent, and paired with an unforgettable foie gras sausage—this dish is next-level. We also sampled the Lamb Meatballs and Chicken Thigh Skewers, which were both tender, flavorful, and downright addictive.

And of course, no meal at Enso is complete without dessert. The Matcha Cheesecake? Pure perfection. Creamy, slightly earthy from the matcha, and just sweet enough to round out an amazing meal.

The atmosphere was everything we’d hoped for—moody yet inviting—with a buzz of excitement in every corner of the room. Sharing this experience with Jessica and Garrett made it even more special. It’s clear that everyone in attendance was just as thrilled as we were to see Enso back in action.

Huge thanks to the team at Enso for including us in such an important moment. Chef Lawrence Weeks has truly outdone himself with this menu—it’s a beautiful fusion of Japanese technique and Southern soul that feels so uniquely Louisville.

LIFE UPDATE: I’ve officially leveled up from Project Manager to General Contractor!

This is a huge milestone for me, and it feels amazing to step into this role. Key Source Home is not just here to stay; we’re here to revolutionize your living spaces.✨

Being in the remodeling and renovation biz has been an absolute blast. It’s hands down the most rewarding gig I’ve ever had. I get to flex my creative muscles with design and bring your wildest home dreams to life. There’s nothing quite like seeing the joy on a client’s face when they see their vision become reality. And when they keep coming back for more? That’s when I know we’re doing something right! 😉

This career has given me a renewed sense of purpose, and that is worth its weight in gold.

I’ve been so inspired by all the bathroom remodels we’ve been working on that I decided to give my and Jonathan’s primary bathroom a little love too. Since we’re saving the big kitchen renovation for Spring, this bathroom update is all about cosmetic magic.

First, we gave everything a fresh coat of paint. I used Benjamin Moore’s Raccoon Fur in Satin Finish for the walls and Olympic Mountains for the ceiling and trim. Here’s a fun fact: I discovered that Farrow & Ball’s Railings is a perfect match for Raccoon Fur, and their School House White is identical to Olympic Mountains. Talk about saving some bucks without sacrificing style!

Next, we modernized and softened the space:

- Bamboo shades from Amazon replaced those frilly curtains.
- Modern light fixtures from Build with Ferguson gave a sleek new look.
- Delta faucets brought a touch of Victorian charm with a modern twist.
- And, of course, some plants and a big rug to cozy things up (and cover that floor we’re not too fond of).
