Enso, one of our absolute favorite Louisville spots, is officially back, and itâs better than ever. After a temporary closure following last yearâs fire, theyâve reopened with a refreshed menu and the same incredible energy weâve always loved. We were beyond excited to be invited to their exclusive soft opening, and trust me, this was a night to remember.
We kicked things off with some sharable small plates that set the tone for the evening. The Truffle Ramen Eggs were a savory dream, and the Shish*to Peppers had just the right amount of char and heat. But the real showstoppers? The Nashville Hot Fish Cake and the comforting Chicken, Rice, and Gravyâboth packed with flavor and perfect for passing around the table.
When it came time for entrees, three out of four of us couldnât resist diving into the Duck Dipping Noodles. Rich, indulgent, and paired with an unforgettable foie gras sausageâthis dish is next-level. We also sampled the Lamb Meatballs and Chicken Thigh Skewers, which were both tender, flavorful, and downright addictive.
And of course, no meal at Enso is complete without dessert. The Matcha Cheesecake? Pure perfection. Creamy, slightly earthy from the matcha, and just sweet enough to round out an amazing meal.
The atmosphere was everything weâd hoped forâmoody yet invitingâwith a buzz of excitement in every corner of the room. Sharing this experience with Jessica and Garrett made it even more special. Itâs clear that everyone in attendance was just as thrilled as we were to see Enso back in action.
Huge thanks to the team at Enso for including us in such an important moment. Chef Lawrence Weeks has truly outdone himself with this menuâitâs a beautiful fusion of Japanese technique and Southern soul that feels so uniquely Louisville.
If you havenât been yet, what are you waiting for?
