Dutch supercar maker Spyker won its appeal against being placed in bankruptcy. Spyker CEO Victor Muller now plans to push ahead with development of the B6 Venator entry-level luxury sports car, and to merge with a U.S.-based electric aircraft manufacturer.

The SPYKER B6 VENATOR SPYDER Concept will begin production in late 2014 for key markets including Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and India, followed by the US in early 2015.

The introduction of the SPYKER B6 VENATOR Concept at Geneva earlier this year marked the beginning of a new era for the brand, one that will include a significant increase in production led by a management team that has never been stronger. Underneath there's a mid-rear-mounted V6 petrol engine with 375bhp running through a six-speed auto ‘box. Trouble is, next to that ubiquitous 911, it's a little bit lacking: a Carrera S with PDK makes 394bhp and weighs around the same - 1415kg compared to the Spyker's circa-1400kg mass.
