Had an oil pan bolt snap flush while changing out this N54 Oil pan gasket, it was a very unwelcome surprise. Nonetheless...

Had an oil pan bolt snap flush while changing out this N54 Oil pan gasket, it was a very unwelcome surprise. Nonetheless, drilled it out, retapped it for a proper size helicoil, and the factory bolt threaded in with no issues! What could have been a nightmare turned into a learning experience! 😊

BMW Mechatronics service! Very essential replacing of valve body sealing sleeves, transmission pan & filter, and fresh fluid.

BMW ZF transmissions used in multiple models are known to have issues with worn sealing sleeves. This eventually leads to sluggish and jerky shifting, in the worst cases no shifting at all as was the case with this customer. ZF recommends this service every 60k miles, stay on top of it!
