It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our teammate and friend, Linny Pridgen, on September 17th.

Linny was a dedicated member of the NC K9 Emergency Response Team and served as a diver and safety officer with Stony Creek Rescue Squad. He was always ready to help to the best of his abilities, and his commitment to service touched many lives.

One teammate shared this memory:
"Linny was a diver and safety officer at Stony Creek Rescue Squad. Living right behind the station, he would drive the rescue truck all the time. When I was living in Rocky Mount, I'd have to call him to tell him not to leave without me. The old Mack fire truck was his baby, as it had no power steering and you had to double the clutch. His favorite place to eat was Western Sizzling with Mark."

Linny’s dedication, sense of humor, and willingness to serve his community will not be forgotten. Our team has lost not just a teammate, but a brother.

Please keep Linny’s family, friends, and teammates in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
