ECO-TOURISM—FIELD TRIPS—CLASSROOMS! Looking ahead now would be a good time to plan a trip on the Bay Quest to take a different view of the Bay. We are booking our annual trips with local schools and organizations. We look into Crabs,Oysters, Fish while we collect data from the Coan River and create a profile of this historic estuary. While we have the gear on the boat we would enjoy having you join us.

ECO-TOURISM WEEK! I had the pleasure of hosting guests from the Friends of the Rappahannock and the Northern Neck Chapter of VA Master Naturalist this week. We explored the Coan River Watershed and sampled Oysters,Crabs, and other organisms found associated with our area.A lot of fun and information packed into the days. Hope everyone had as much fun as I did. Thank you all who came.

2026 SEASON HAS BEGUN! This has been a different start than I had expected. We have found some Bluefish already and we caught a Spanish Mackerel. This is the earliest one I have ever caught rod and reel! Hope this is a harbinger for the upcoming year.
