A $100,000/year mobile paint business can sound like it would require a massive number of customers.

But when you work the math backwards, it starts to look very different.

$100,000/year is roughly $8,300 per month.

At around a $700 average repair ticket, you’re looking at roughly 11–12 jobs per month.

Not hundreds.

About 11 or 12.

That doesn’t mean every operator will go out and automatically build a $100K business.

It simply shows how the economics of this model actually work.

Sometimes the opportunity feels bigger and more complicated in your head than it does once you put the numbers on paper.

25 mobile paint customers can be worth a lot more than 25 jobs.

Here’s the math.

Imagine building relationships with 25 commercial accounts.

If each account needs just one mobile paint repair every three months, that works out to:

25 accounts × 4 repairs per year = 100 repairs.

At an average ticket of roughly $700:

100 repairs × $700 = $70,000 in annual revenue.

That doesn’t mean 25 commercial accounts automatically produce $70K.

It simply shows why building a book of commercial relationships can become so valuable.

And that’s before retail customers, dealerships, referrals or any other source of business.

The bigger idea is this:

You’re not just trying to find your next mobile paint job.

You’re building relationships that can continue creating opportunities over time.

They’re comparing it to the alternative: taking their vehicle to a body shop, leaving it there, arranging transportation and potentially paying significantly more for a larger repair

You come to the customer

You repair the damage on-site

And you give them a professional result without the traditional body shop experience

That’s why pricing this work like a low-cost service is a mistake

Your pricing has to account for your time, travel, setup, materials, skill and the value of the convenience you’re providing

Learn the skill. Build the process. Then price it like a professional business
