KELMARK TOW is an Official Police Garage (OPG) for the City of Los Angeles providing Towing, Impound & Storage for the Los Angeles Police Department, the Department of Transportation, the Port Police, the Airport Police, and other city entities. KELMARK TOW (Unit 18) serves the Southeast Division for Los Angeles. The original Kelmark Tow first became an Official Police Garage in December of 1987.
Kelmark Tow LLC was formed in 2004. While Kelmark Tow LLC is a relatively young OPG, the key personnel have been in place since 1987. There were no changes to key personnel at the newly formed company. Kelmark Tow has 9 modern tow trucks. We have moved our primary location only three times in the 22 years of service. Each time as a response to an increase in space needs to service the contract. Our current location is 4 acres of land with a 53000 sq ft building. It has 5000 ft of office space, 48000 ft of indoor storage, and an additional 3 acres of secured outside storage. At Kelmark Tow, we are proud to serve the City of Los Angeles as an Official Police Garage. We believe that we have a duty to the citizens of Los Angeles to be a superior support service to the many different agencies within the City. Primarily, we understand our role as extension of the Los Angeles Police Department and the Department of Transportation. We know that we must perform our duties with dignity, respect and professionalism at all times. Our mission is to be “on time” in the performance of our duties. It is the vision of Kelmark Tow to have a community that is a model partnership between business and the private sector. Kelmark Tow conducts a public auction each Monday (excluding Holidays). All auction vehicles have been impounded and are unclaimed by their owners. A valid government issued ID is required for registration, A non-refundable cash deposit is required at time of the final bid. (A $200 deposit is required for vehicles auctioned for less than $1,500 and a $500 deposit is required for vehicles auctioned for $1,500 or more). For more information call 323-779-3202. · Customer registration begins 8 A.M. There are no entry fees.
· Viewing starts at 8:45 A.M. and continues until 10 A.M.
· At 10 A.M. the auction begins with the announcement rules and procedures followed by auctioning of vehicles.
· Each vehicle is sold to the highest bidder and all Sales are Cash only.
· The auction will conclude when the last vehicle on the list is sold.
· Note: All auction vehicles are subject to release prior to posted auction.
