And so it begins… Project 88! One of our clients told me he wanted Robert Sable Roughchild to build him one of his exquisite retro-modern BMW Airheads. I introduced them, knowing they would get along well. The donor bike was decided: a late model mono-shock R100. It took nearly a year but one day Robert messaged me: there’s one on FB marketplace! The bike is a 1988, same year my client was born. I called the seller and my 1st question was, what are your wiring instructions. I absolutely did not want to miss this bike! Our friends Hatch Motorcycle Collective stored the bike a few months while we made plans, the bike arrived yesterday. We’ll be recording the progress of the build & we look forward to taking you all on this bike building journey!
