Transmission out, upgrades going in. 🔧

This 2014 Nissan 370Z is in the shop for one of the most popular reliability upgrades for the Z34 platform—a Concentric Slave Cylinder (CSC) Delete Kit.

The factory internal CSC is a well-known weak point on many 370Zs and G37s. When it fails, the transmission has to come out, making it the perfect time to take care of other wear items.

Since we’re already here, we’ll be inspecting the clutch and may install a new clutch kit if it’s ready for replacement. Doing both jobs together saves on labor and helps keep the car off the lift and back on the road longer.

Whether you drive your Z every day, hit the canyons on weekends, or take it to the track, preventative upgrades like this can save you from an unexpected breakdown later.

Keeping another classic Z on the road.

Today’s project is a 1986 Nissan 300ZX receiving a VG33E 3.3L V6 swap after its original VG30E suffered a failure (blown hole in the side). The VG33E is a popular upgrade that adds extra displacement and torque while maintaining Nissan reliability.

It’s always rewarding to see these classics get a second chance.
