We have been receiving many questions in regards to the Spring Nationals in Albuquerque, New Mexico scheduled for March 19-21. Duke City BMX & Visit Albuquerque did everything in their power to make this event happen but were unable to get it done due to all the Covid restrictions in place for them at this time. We hope to be able to make the return to Duke City BMX in 2022.

Like in 2020, we had a backup plan for the Albuquerque event & we are proud to announce the event will now shift to the famed Black Mountain BMX. This event will be called the Spring Classic Nationals & will still take place March 19-21. As always we appreciate your patience as we navigate through these unprecedented times.

The New Year brings new rule changes for the season! The biggest change being the “flat pedal rule” that can be found in Section IV, Rule 3 of the USA BMX Rulebook.

“All riders 12 & under are restricted to a standard flat pedal only; regardless of what class the rider might end up competing in that day. Interlocking-pedal cleat systems where the shoe is attached to the pedal or magnetic pedals are restricted to riders over the age of 12 that are Intermediate or higher in proficiency. No Exceptions. These riders must still use flat pedals when combined into a class that allows the use of clipless pedals”

We regret to announce that the Los Alamos BMX track project will not be completed in 2020. We plan on working with county management in hopefully compleating the project early 2021.
It’s been a tough road and we’re still working with USABMX on getting this project completed.
Thank you to everyone that has stuck with us this past year and a half. We’re dedicated to the youth of our community and hope to have everyone riding as soon as possible.
