Fuĺl-time Front desk/Service Writer
Hours: Monday-Friday, available 8am-5 pm
35-40 hours per week
Pay negotiable upon experience

We are looking for the right person to work the front counter at the shop. We need someone who is available 8-5 Monday through Friday.

We are looking for a people person with an outgoing personality. If you don't like people, this isn't the job for you. If you like people, you more than likely have great customer service skills and that is our #1 priority. You must also be professional, dependable, and show up on time.

You need to be able to multi task, stay organized, juggle several things at once, and not be afraid to get your hands dirty! I am often in the shop helping the guys fill up fluids in cars and roll tires off trucks. We all work as a team!

Your job duties will include learning our software system, answering the phone, writing up quotes and estimates, driving vehicles in and out of shop, supplies inventory, taking payments, and the most important of them all, communicating with mechanics and customers. You keep the shop flowing and this only happens with excellent communication skills!

If you have some knowledge about vehicle parts, that is a plus, but I am willing to train the right person. I will teach you everything you need to know as long as you are willing to learn.

🔥 MYTH BUSTER 🔥

We hear this ALL THE TIME! I have to bring my vehicle to the dealership for maintenance or it voids my warranty. NOT TRUE!!!!!!! You do not have to bring your vehicle to a dealership for any required maintenance.

That’s the law.

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act says manufacturers cannot void your warranty just because you got service somewhere other than the dealer. Oil changes, tire rotations, and routine maintenance at Pit Stop 171 keep your warranty intact.

What you need to do:
✅ Follow the manufacturer’s schedule
✅ Use the right oil and specs
✅ Keep your receipts

That’s it. Also if you don't have receipts, all of your maintenance goes directly to carfax and stays in our system forever.

Warranty repairs still go through the dealer. Everyday maintenance does not.
