So I had a friend who was car shopping recently and some of the advice people were giving her was outdated or just bad. I would like to give a few pointers for next time you are shopping and you feel overwhelmed. I’m going to do these in sections as it can be a lot to read and understand.
Let’s start with trading in a vehicle. Use KBB, get offers from Carvana or Carmax and use these as your leverage. Be honest though, do not book your 100k mile vehicle in excellent condition. Whatever you owe on your vehicle or what it retailed for has no bearing on its current value. After all, if you owed nothing on your vehicle would you sell it for nothing? Depending on how much you have paid on your car it is not uncommon to owe more than what your car is worth. This is called negative equity. This amount still needs to be paid so it will go onto your new loan so expect your monthly payment to go up if this is the case. Keep this in mind while deciding if this is the right time to upgrade. If you happen to be in a position with positive equity then this equity can be applied as a down payment towards your new loan. If you have been tossing around the idea of upgrading and you have positive equity then it’s probably a good time to pull the trigger as values of vehicle trade ins change constantly. Finally, in WA state or any state you paid sales tax on your vehicle you get a tax credit towards the purchase of another vehicle. You surrender this credit if you sell your car without trading up. This can be a huge incentive to sell to a dealership as opposed to private party.

Yesterday we talked a bit about our upcoming Electric Silverado. While I truly believe electric is the way of the near future, I will always have a spot in my heart for American Muscle. During my lot walk I came across this beauty that we just took in on trade.

This is a 2016 Dodge Challenger R/T w/ Shaker. It is a one owner vehicle that has less than 8500 miles on it. That is an estimated 1,773 miles driven per year! The Steel Metallic Clearcoat outside is complimented inside by Black Leather w/ Orange stitching. Standard 8 speed automatic and under the hood is the 5.7L V8 Hemi which boasts 372 horsies and 400 pound-feet of torque! Please DM me if you have any questions about this beautiful vehicle!

We just got done doing some training on our new all electric Chevy Silverado and I wanted to share some exciting things I learned! Guys the future is here….

Available next Fall, we began taking reservations on future units today. I don’t know how many initial units will be allocated but GM expects reservations to be full before the end of the day!

The new Silverado will have up to a 400 mile range on a full charge. It will out perform its gas counterpart with 660hp and a 0-60 acceleration time of 4.5 seconds!! The first run of available models will tow up to 10,000 pounds and starting in 2025 GM will feature an option that can tow an astonishing 20,000 lbs! Finally, there will be a ton of available creature comforts like leather, heated/cooled seats, panoramic sunroof and my favorite, a monster 17 inch infotainment screen.

There is a lot of fear when it comes to change like this and that is simply bred from being uninformed. The future is electric and I would love to be able to discuss consumer concerns. If you have any questions drop em below and ill answer as best I can.
