Cobalt dash turned off and car started acting erratic.

Found these ripped wires.. and a bundle wrapped around the steering colum !

Spent the last 2-3 days splicing wires and trying to find new pigtails.

FINALLY got it all back together!,
well except for the O2 sensors. It had ripped the wires out the back of the brand new O2 sensors so I had to order new ones today and it should be in Friday.

But I took out the entire engine wiring harness and went through and cleaned up the entire thing! And completely rewrapped it.

I've had my 2010 Chevy Cobalt for about 4 years now.?
And I bought it with the check engine lights on! The guy before me could never figure out the issue it was throwing for 02 sensors and map sensor.

I hadn't been able to figure it out either. And my car was dying when coming to a stop and was acting like crap.
I had replaced all the sensors. Still couldn't figure it out.
I was thinking it was the engine wiring harness or the ECM at this point.
And then....I came and got across this comment in the Cobalt forums!

Checked out the fuse and it was blown!

Replaced the fuse cleared all the codes and the car is running great with no codes anymore!

Drive Type: RWD

Bought this car last year. 2 weeks Later Hit a rock and punched a hole in the oil pan.
Got the oil pan fixed on the car, but it won't start now.. 😔 won't do anything..
Could be seized engine..? Could be something I'm missing.
I do not have experience with mercedes to work on it.
I Don't have a desire/time to part it out.

Anyone have an offer?
I paid $2500 for it..

Just working on my 2010 Chevy Cobalt

I installed the rear view mirror, headlight assemblies, tail light assemblies, rear shocks, and rear bearing/hub assemblies Yesterday..

I got the driver side rear brakes done. Then removed the passenger side brakes And I stopped cuz it was getting late and cold.

so today, Ive got to start with finishing the passenger side rear brakes and then move to taking apart the front end!.

I'm kind of delayed because I ordered the wrong rotors and brake drums. 🫣
I ordered the five lug when I have a four lug.. 😆
So I had to send them back today and I'm waiting for the new parts to come in Tuesday or wednesday. Then I'll be able to finish the car up.

But until then I can do most of the front end while I'm waiting.
CV axles, sway bar linkages, inner and outer tie rod ends, & new bearing / hub assemblies.

Black Betty got assaulted 😔 by a semi truck 🚛 and she's getting old 👵.

So we're doing a functional rehab on her! 🎉

Not working on the body much, just replacing:
*Headlight and tail light assemblies.
*With new headlight bulbs and rear view mirror.

But we're replacing most of the suspension 🤪 🥳
*Front Struts with springs & rear shocks.
*Front and rear brakes; pads, shoes, drums, & rotors.
*New hub & bearing assemblies front and back!
*New sway bar links, inner & outer tie rods, & CV Axles.
Should be a smooth ride 😎 when we're finished! ✅️
