SouthBay Auto Repair is Looking to hire an experienced technician with the ability to perform basic to heavy line repairs and services. ASE certification is preferred but not required. Must have own tools.
Responsibilities
Perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to major repairs
Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to diagnose and repair with accuracy
Clearly communicate with service advisor when additional repairs are needed or when repairs cannot be completed in the scheduled time period
Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning components to resolve customer concerns
Provide accurate diagnosis to ensure vehicles are fixed right the first time
Keep logs on work and issues
Job Requirements
5 years of previous experience as a mechanic
Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in a wide variety of makes and models of vehicles
Perform multi-point inspections, maintenance and service related repairs to include, but not limited to, engines, transmissions, air-condition, timing belts, radiators, gaskets, braking systems, etc.
Ensure work space is clean and safe at all times
Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protection against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
Knowledge of shop equipment
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
Must have own tools.
Must have a valid driver’s license

Use hands, fingers and arms continually, frequently and throughout the day.
Bend, crouch, crawl, stoop and kneel continually, frequently and throughout the day.
Pick-up, lift and carry items that may exceed 50 pounds.
Operate and drive vehicles or equipment, as needed, in a safe manner.
Job Type: Full-time Monday- Friday 8am-6pm Saturday 8am-4pm
