Don't be this guy. If you wear down to the backing plate, expect to be replacing rotors and even rebuilding calipers, easily in the hundreds cist wise, all over a $30 set of pads.

When I got this Vino, it wasn't running. Checked everything, it was getting fuel, air, spark, and oil. Checked compression and it was only 12psi at wide open throttle. Knew instantly that the top end was dead, so decided to not only replace but upgrade to the 70cc big bore kit, a popular upgrade for this engine series. This is what the top end I took off looked like. The piston rings have been heat welded to the piston, massive amounts of deep scoring & galling to both the cylinder and the piston. I'm surprised I got any compression at all from this top end. Based on how much gunk I had to clean up, and the lack of an air filter element, looks like gunk got into the cylinder, and for one area most likely a small rock or something as well at some point.
