Built once. Refined again.

Roxanne — a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T — is back in the shop where her story began.

Originally built by our shop in 2012 and unveiled at the 2013 Detroit Autorama, she’s returned for a fresh chapter and a careful evolution.

Her new power plant is a 392ci Gen III HEMI built by Proformance Unlimited, pushing 640 horsepower, controlled by a Holley Terminator X Max, and backed by a TCI Stage 3 4L80E.

This time, the focus wasn’t just more power — it was balance. Sharper response. Cleaner delivery. A car that feels just as good on the road as it looks in the shop.

“You dream it — we can build it.” Still true. Still standing.

Fourteen years ago, this photo marked a toast to a new beginning — a new home, a bigger dream, and the next chapter of what started long before the name “AK Rods & Customs” ever existed.

Andy Lefebvre — the “A” in AK — has always lived and breathed hot rods. His passion for building, restoring, and creating something from nothing inspired Keith from the start. Over the years, Keith’s artistic eye and modern vision evolved that foundation into what AK Rods & Customs is today — a blend of craftsmanship, creativity, and innovation that continues to grow with every build.

From a garage dream to One Independence Drive, AK Rods & Customs has become more than a business — it’s a family, a legacy, and a place built on trust, grit, and a shared love of horsepower.
