Russel is in my backyard/air conditioned garage until his foster parent gets here.

She will be picking him up this evening.

We raised enough to donate about 100 dollars to help other dogs after his 550 dollar vet bill. 645 was donated to

Austin pets Alive is facilitating the fostering and providing follow up care and medication. You can make donations directly to them if you are interested in supporting the agency supporting Russel.

Update on Russel.

I called the vet and Russel’s surgery went smoothly. He is resting and recovering there at the vet.

He has a foster family that we are waiting on paper work… so finger’s crossed.

We raised $645 that will be donated to

Austin Pets Alive is who the foster family will be going through. If you would like to donate to them to help offset their fostering costs you can reach out to them to do so.

Big thank you to our community for the donations and for the Caldwell County Animal Coalition.

Russel had X-rays done. His upper arm bone was very broken. Two spiral fractures/breaks. The only viable option was amputation.

Russel will be a three legged dog but he is going to live. He is also getting all of the shots, and deworming, treatments, and neutering that he had been missing out on.

RUSSEL DOGGY KONG THE FIRST OF HIS NAME has been surrendered to me and I am temporarily fostering him until he can find a home. He is being fostered at the shop so please please is anyone knows someone looking for a great puppy that’s good with kids, dogs, and cats….. let me know.

I’ll post an update when he’s home and with proof of the donation to once it’s been made

Update on Russel Doggy Kong

Thank you so much everyone who has donated so far to help Russel. We have raised a little over 400 so far.

Russell desperately needs a foster home. I’m taking him to Pecan Grove Vet in Gonzalez at 3:30 for X-rays and a treatment recommendation.

This visit was coordinated and being paid for by . I will be donated funds raised to that organization and then follow up treatment donations will be given to the next organization.

Tuesday morning update: Russel needs a foster. Austin pets alive will take him but he needs a foster home lined up today.
