Here we go again. The cost of parts will be significantly higher very soon. This is parts of the email I received this morning regarding cost on parts.

-every oil company has told us they will be increasing prices starting in May. We expect to see a 10% and will also be hit with shipping surcharges.

-Not only are the products made by petroleum going to increase, but we will see increases on all shipping containers as well.

-Do not forget that there is a new tariff of 25% on finished products made from steel and aluminum as well.

Unfortunately, the new 25% tariff on products made from steel and aluminum is 95% of our dirt bike parts.

Good news. The new shop is not far from the old shop. 5 minutes away. I was able to stay in the littleton area. It is a smaller shop, but. We can make it work. I will not have a ton of room to store bikes, so we will all need to pickup fairly quickly when the bike are finished up. I get the keys next Wednesday and I'll start moving in. Should not take too long to get all set up.

Hopefully this gets out to as many of my customers as possible. It has come time to move locations. I have been in this location for 10 years, and it's been good to me. But, time for a change. I would love to stay in the littleton area, but....... There is not too many options down here. Possibly looking at shop right in the middle of town. I76 and I25 area. I will keep everybody updated on new shop location. I just wanted to throw it out there. I would love to stay in this area, but. I don't know if that's possible. Big wheelies everybody and keep an eye out for further posts from me.

This is a 2022 300xcw with 81 hours. Small amount of metal transfer on the cylinder walls, but. I was able to clean it up with muratic acid and hone. The power valve had a ton of carbon build up. I completely strip down the cylinder, v***r blast the cylinder and all the power valve components, then reinstall with new orings and seals.
I always ultrasonic clean the fuel injectors and perform a back flush to insure the engine is not running lean due to plugged up injectors.
Some other key maintenance items I strongly recommend at the same time, is. Replacing the inline fuel filter on the fuel pump assembly, the micro fuel filter in the connector and the crankcase pressure sensor.
Even though the oil pumps can last a very long time, I do strongly recommend installing a new one with every top end. It's a small price to pay for good insurance knowing the oil pump is new. If the oil pump stops working, you won't know until it's too late and usually by then. Extreme engine damage is very likely.
This is the correct way to perform a top end replacement, along with performing the other maintenance items, this will help insure your bike is in tip top condition to keep you on the trails.
I will only install the highest quality parts available for your bike. No cheap parts will be going into your engine.

They have arrived. Finally got my order of the upgraded crankcase pressure sensor bracket/ holder for the TBI bikes. The stock bracket sucks and they leak all the time. Inexpensive upgrade for the CCPS and don't forget to replace the sensor every time you do a top end.

I will be stocking Bridgestone X31 front and rear tires.

This is the correct way to do a top end on a 2-stroke. I'm not going to say any names, but I've had a couple ktm 300's come in the shop from a certain dealership here in town and they keep installing the base gaskets wrong. It's not a huge huge deal, they won't leak coolant or anything, but still. Don't just piston slap a top end. Tear down the power valve and clean all the carbon. This bike is right at 100 hours and you can see how much carbon is built up on the power valve assembly. This can start to cause a sticky power valve. Do a slight hone on the cylinder so the piston rings seat properly.

Here is how a full engine rebuilds should be done. Strip down to bare engine cases, v***r blast, replace every single bearing/seal in the engine (including transmission bearings), replace main bearing/ seals, crankshaft, piston/ rings and perform the cylinder service as in the next post.

Here's how a top end should get performed. Rather then just pulling the cylinder and slapping a piston in. When I do top ends all the power valve components get removed, v***r blasted to remove all the carbon build-up, cylinder v***r blasted, hone the cylinder, then replace all the orings, gaskets etc, along with the new piston.

Turned out pretty cool.

Friendly reminder to everyone. The busy season has arrived. When people call to get their bikes in the shop you basically go on a wait list and I take them in order. I'm usually booked out a week or 2. When I'm ready for your bike, I'll call you a few days in advance and then, we actually set up a date for drop off that is convenient for you. If you no call no show, I call the next people in line and get them in.

In the last 2 weeks I've had 4 people no call no show, then a few days later they are wanting to drop off that day. If you dont show up to your appointment you will get put back on the wait list.

Please just call or text me if you cannot make your appointment, we can figure out another day that works.
Thanks
