This is a 2022 300xcw with 81 hours. Small amount of metal transfer on the cylinder walls, but. I was able to clean it up with muratic acid and hone. The power valve had a ton of carbon build up. I completely strip down the cylinder, v***r blast the cylinder and all the power valve components, then reinstall with new orings and seals.
I always ultrasonic clean the fuel injectors and perform a back flush to insure the engine is not running lean due to plugged up injectors.
Some other key maintenance items I strongly recommend at the same time, is. Replacing the inline fuel filter on the fuel pump assembly, the micro fuel filter in the connector and the crankcase pressure sensor.
Even though the oil pumps can last a very long time, I do strongly recommend installing a new one with every top end. It's a small price to pay for good insurance knowing the oil pump is new. If the oil pump stops working, you won't know until it's too late and usually by then. Extreme engine damage is very likely.
This is the correct way to perform a top end replacement, along with performing the other maintenance items, this will help insure your bike is in tip top condition to keep you on the trails.
I will only install the highest quality parts available for your bike. No cheap parts will be going into your engine.
