Recently, after receiving a vehicle to donate, CBA Ocotillo gave their time, talent and expertise to ensure it was safe and reliable on the road. Once it was ready, they began praying about who should receive it. As they sought God’s direction, one organization kept coming to mind: Teen Challenge Home of Hope.

When the team reached out to the home’s director, they discovered one of the ministry’s staff members, Jewells, had been faithfully praying for reliable transportation. A graduate of Home of Hope herself, Jewells chose to remain after completing the program, first serving as an intern before joining the staff. Today, she dedicates her life to serving the women and children who find refuge and healing through the ministry.

The director shared that she and Jewells had been praying specifically for a vehicle and believed God had already promised to provide one. The call from the Ocotillo team was the answer they had been waiting for.

Sleeping on the job? 😂

Yeah, I thought so too.

But upon closer inspection, I discovered this was actually a battery replacement.

In the trunk?

Yup.

More and more OEMs are getting “creative” with battery locations, making replacements more time-consuming—and, consequently, more costly.

So, other than creating some fun photos, there’s not much fun about it. 😅

Tires are a large investment, and you want to get the most out of them. Regular rotations help both your alignment and suspension components.

Remember, uneven tires can lead to a rougher ride, poor handling, and less traction in inclement weather. 🛞

We’ve shared photos of a dash pull before, but if a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth ten thousand.

A job like this takes more than tools. It requires the mental acuity to know what comes next, the physical dexterity to work in incredibly tight spaces, and the organizational skills to remember, “Hey, what was that screw for?”

Great work, Lupe! 👏

Some repairs are tougher than others.
Thanks to some "cleverly" routed lines around the engine, our technician Carlos had to lift the entire cab off the truck just to access the lines and complete the repair. It's the kind of job that makes for a long, challenging day—but Carlos was more than up to the task.
Great work, Carlos! We appreciate your dedication and the hard work you put into getting our customers back on the road.

Performing a car tune-up is essential for maintaining vehicle performance and longevity.
A tune-up helps restore engine efficiency by replacing worn-out components like spark plugs, coils and filters, and flushing the entire fuel system. Collectively these services enhance fuel economy and reduce emissions. When neglected, spark plugs can come apart and damage the top of the cylinder head, which is depicted in the two photos.

🚨 Sometimes saving money can cost you more. 🚨
This customer came in with a vibration at highway speeds after buying a set of used tires just one week ago.
After inspecting the vehicle, we found the problem... one of the used tires had suffered an internal failure. 😳
While used tires may seem like a bargain, you never know what they've been through. Hidden damage isn't always visible—and it can affect your safety.
That's why we don't sell used tires.
What we do offer is helping you get the longest life possible out of your new tires. Regular tire rotations help your tires wear evenly, improve ride quality, and maximize your investment.
🎉 Special Offer: Spend $200 or more on repairs and receive a FREE tire rotation!
Protect your tires, your wallet... and maybe even your dental work. 😁

As an engine accumulates more miles, coolant can become corrosive. The coolant should be changed at manufacturer recommended intervals. If it is not flushed on a regular basis, it will cause problems in the cooling system. Parts, such as the water pump impeller, and the thin passages inside the radiator begin degrading as a result of the corrosive coolant. This can eventually lead to overheating and coolant leaks.
Unlike the video, coolant flush machines are typically not simply blue rectangles. Here is the machine we use at Christian Brothers Automotive to ensure all of the old fluid is out, good clean fluid is in, and no air bubbles persist in the system. Ensuring all three tasks are completed is necessary to complete a coolant flush properly.
