Quick question…

How many of y’all only got ONE key for your car right now? šŸ‘€

Be honest.

Because I’ve been getting a lot of calls lately from people stuck with:

- lost keys
- broken keys
- or locked out with no backup

That situation turns into a whole headache real fast.

I’m getting ready to start doing car keys along with lockouts šŸ”‘
(mainly 2005–2018 to start)

If you only have one key, now’s the time to get ahead of it before it turns into an emergency.

Comment ā€œkeyā€ or shoot me a DM and I’ll tap in with you.

Better to have it and not need it… than need it and be stuck.

Lockout in Visalia today.
This one hit different.
Call came through from Allstate dispatch. A while back when I first signed up with motor clubs, I was getting $45 a call. Sometimes less. And barely getting called at that. I remember even being told I probably wouldn’t get many calls in my area. That was a tough conversation when you’re just starting out and trying to build something.
Back then I didn’t know much. I was just trying to get experience and say yes to everything.
Fast forward to now.
I let them know I’m no longer contracted. If I’m going out, it’s at my pricing. The same fair rate I charge anyone else.
And they accepted it.
That felt good.
Not out of ego. Not out of spite. Just growth.
There’s a big difference between working for whatever someone offers and knowing the value of your skill, your time, your fuel, your tools, and your experience.
Got the job done clean. Customer taken care of. No damage. Everyone happy.
But the real win was realizing how far Status Lock has come.
Sometimes you have to start small. Sometimes you get boxed in. But if you hang in there and keep sharpening your craft, you earn the right to name your price.
Visalia, we’re moving different now.
If you’re locked out and need real service, give me a call and I’ll let you know what it is.

One of my favorite drives to take during a lockout

12/29/2025

She called earlier.
Tried to figure it out for hours.
So I followed up.
Cold night, frozen fingers, tough lockout, but we got it done. That’s how I move. I don’t just disappear. I check back in and make sure people are taken care of.
Status Lock. Follow-ups matter.

Got the call around 12:30 with a doctor’s appointment scheduled at 1:00 to check on our baby. Pulled up, unlocked the vehicle quickly and damage-free, then made it to the appointment on time.
Baby’s doing great. Nine weeks to go. Feeling grateful and blessed this holiday season. Things are coming together.
Status Lock. Showing up and getting it done.

Got a lockout tonight in Visalia outside a 7-Eleven. Vehicle had pre-existing damage from a previous attempt, so I stuck to my policy and worked my preferred entry side. Took my time around the weather stripping, explained the process to the customer, and got in clean with no additional damage.
Customer was nervous at first because of the last experience, but seeing it done right made all the difference.
For anyone just starting out, stick with it. Every night is different. Calls come when you least expect them. In May I was barely getting calls. Now I’m a lot more confident and comfortable on any vehicle.
Appreciate everyone in here sharing knowledge and experiences. It helps more than you realize.

Just don't give up and be willing to get up and take a late night call

Curtis Williams has lived a life most people only talk about…
Bering Sea storms, factory shutdowns, strikes, heartbreaks, losing loved ones, and rebuilding himself more times than anyone should have to.

Most people fold under that pressure.
Curtis didn’t.
He treated it like fuel.

When life hit him with back-to-back losses, emergencies, and a reminder that nothing is promised, he didn’t stay down.
He pivoted.
Fast.

He made a decision that changed everything:
Bet on himself.

Status Lock wasn’t born in a shop or an office ...
it was born out the trunk of his car,
with whatever tools he owned, whatever knowledge he learned, and whatever discipline he forged from the Bering Sea to Mississippi.

He’s worked in freezing oceans, toxic factories, and high-pressure ships…
so when it comes to the roadside grind?
He doesn’t see problems
he sees opportunity.

And here’s the truth he doesn’t hide:
The struggle is real.
Bills stack up.
Pressure hits.
Days get heavy.
But he still shows up, because he knows this part — the hard part ... is only temporary.

He’s dancing in the rain, building through it, embracing it…
because this isn’t the end of the story.
It’s the beginning.

Now he’s putting the pieces together daily:
Making calls.
Answering emergencies.
Helping people.
Investing in equipment.
Learning the business game in real time.
Failing forward.
Growing through every lesson.

And documenting the journey raw ... no edits, no filters, no Hollywood.

What you’re watching is a man turning pressure into purpose.
A man grinding for his future, his family, and a legacy he refuses to let slip.

This isn’t overnight success.
This is discipline.
Consistency.
Heart.

If you rock with him, you rock with the journey.
The rebuild.
The evolution.
The messy part
because that’s where greatness is forged.

Thank you for reading and following the journey!!!

Good morning everyone — hope you’re all having a great day.
I’m out here soaking up the beach vibes, feeling grateful for the people in my life and the ones who will show up in the future. No reason to complain… just breathing fresh air, feeling inspired, and taking in the good energy.

No lockouts today, but honestly, this is the perfect environment to reset and recharge.
Been working on some updates too — finally getting my blog page set up. It’s gonna be filled with raw truth, real experiences, and stories from Curtis Williams life in the 40’s… past and present.

Still growing, still learning, and still building up my small hustle.
Appreciate everyone rocking with me and The Status Lock Story. šŸ™šŸ”„

This padlock wasn’t a job. It wasn’t an emergency call. It was just me, a lock, and a goal I set for myself.

I locked it up, looked at the camera, and said let me see if I can open this in under a minute.

Dropped the tensioner.
Felt the pins.
Click… click… pow.
Boom. Just like that.
A little Drip with the pick 1 timešŸ˜Ž

Moments like this are why I fell in love with the craft.
No pressure. No rush. Just pure skill, timing, and feel.

Every pin stack has a story.
Every practice session adds up.
Every little win builds real confidence for the field.

This clip reminds me how far I’ve come and how far I’m still going.
Status Lock… always learning, always improving, always serving.
