There are people who teach you a skill, and then there are people who change the trajectory of your life.
In 2022, I walked into Renny Doyle’s 5-day training at one of the lowest points in my business. I had been running Stokes Auto Spa for nearly three years, and if I’m being honest, I was ready to quit. I knew how to detail cars, but I didn’t know how to build a business. I felt lost, overwhelmed, and unsure if I was cut out for the journey.
Renny saw something in me before I could see it in myself.
Through his mentorship, friendship, and willingness to pour into others, he taught me that building a successful business isn’t just about becoming a better craftsman—it’s about becoming a better leader, a better communicator, and a better person. The lessons he shared didn’t just help my business survive; they gave it a future.
This week, as I stand alongside him at the Air Force One Detailing Project, I’m reminded that none of this exists without his vision. For more than two decades, Renny has built something far bigger than polishing airplanes. He’s built a community, a standard of excellence, and a legacy that has impacted thousands of people—including me.
Because of the path he paved, I’ve been able to begin paving one of my own.
Renny, thank you for believing in people, for sharing your knowledge so freely, and for being the kind of mentor and friend every business owner hopes to find. Your influence reaches far beyond this project, and I’m incredibly grateful to call you a friend.
And to Diane—thank you. Behind every great leader is someone making countless unseen sacrifices. Thank you for sharing Renny with this industry, for your kindness, your encouragement, and for welcoming so many of us into your lives. Your impact is felt more than you probably realize.
Some people leave behind successful businesses.
Others leave behind successful people.
Renny, your greatest legacy will never be the awards, the records, or even the Air Force One Project. It will be the people whose lives are forever different because you chose to invest in them.
Thank you for changing mine.
