Local puller decided he wanted to go fast. He did a fantastic job swapping over to a 501 Red Diamond engine from a 301 combine engine in his 560. After a complete re-engineering of the electrical system with the addition of relays, and ignition box, we moved on to the fabrication work. A radiator remodel was needed to accommodate the coolant piping and hose configuration on the new engine. I was able to draw the radiator shell in CAD to hold all the nose sheet metal in place and hold the new 16 inch electric fan, while removing the 50 pound stock radiator shell and freeing up some space in front of the block. The exhaust needed to be moved back about 7 inches so a patch was TIG welded in and recut in the correct location. It was fun working on a competitors tractor and being trusted to do so.

From a thought to a finished product. A local puller needed a light weight fender to keep as much weight off without sacrificing safety.

I now have about 15 sets of clamshell fenders out in the Midwest, Northeast, and South East of the United States for Oliver’s, Farmall’s, Moline’s, and Deere’s!

I’m slowly learning the ins and outs of the new CNC machine and its capabilities to find new innovative ideas for parts to help folks stay competitive in many competitive arenas.

If you have an idea you want brought to fruition reach out with a message and let’s make something happen.

Got a picture today from a customer that gave us some feedback. Like all things in the R&D and dealing with parts from 70 years ago, my bolt pattern spacing was a little off on his set of 6 to 9 bolt pattern adapter plates. A little die grinding in the holes and he was back in business. Thanks again to Mewkill for the business.

After a year of layout, working in my spare time, and alot of research, Iv produced my first light wheel. I was able to run them for the first time Saturday at our local pull and they did well. After the first set there are a few things I will change to ease the assembly process but overall I’m happy with them. I had some interest in them and I’m going to make a few sets to have on hand for myself, and for sale.

Got an emergency call from an old coworker. He had broken a thermostat bolt off on his Jeep Wrangler. He had attempted to fix it to get it through another week waiting on parts but it failed shortly after. I machined out the old bolt and helicoil welded the hole up machined it back down drilled and tapped for the new helicoil and he’s back in business!
