Still wondering about this year's parade route? Where to go, Where to watch, Where to park? PLEASE READ VERY LONG!!!
Parade Entries will line up on Ward Ave from the Welcome E Mason sign, headed back to Sunrise Drive starting at 1pm. An email will be sent with your number and location. Please pull in from Sunrsie Drive onto Ward near the Bus maintenance area, so you are headed the right direction. PARADE STARTS AT 2PM.
The parade will leave from the Welcome E. Mason Campus sign and go up Dallas St and take a left on Humphrey St past the Lincoln County Courthouse and all the way to 378/Washington St,
LEFT onto 378 go in front of Crawford & Breazeale, Farmers, El Sombrero, The Welcome Center and Sugar Babes, and
LEFT onto Main St. following the curve onto N. Peachtree all the way back to Humphrey passing the Community Christmas Tree!
If you park at the courthouse, you will get to see the parade coming and going back to Dallas St! YEAH! An easy walk into town to enjoy all the vendors, shops and restaurants!
If you only want to see the parade one time and head home, then park at Public works, Rees Funeral home, Farmers State Bank or C&B, Doc Williams, Lincolnton Baptist (walk to McCombs station) or a side street.
Why the change? Merchants and Parade Participants requested, it is worth a chance. We have over 300 parade participants, 20 vendors, 20 shops and restaurants, that put a lot of effort into these entries. And, performances at McCombs station that we encourage you to attend! 11am Dancers, 12pm LC Pop Warner cheerleaders, 3pm Post Parade the LC Steppers are back for a encore performance.
