A lot of parents are unaware that their child's permit issued by the DMV is not valid for driving with them (the parents) until the permit is signed by a driving school after completing the first lesson. Unfortunately many parents are unaware of this and can be held liable if there is an accident and their child is driving. Laws change on permits often and we just want to keep our parents and students safe and protected!
