Cornhusker Truck Center is hiring a full-time Mechanic for steady PM and moderate repair work on Class 8 tractors and dry van trailers.

• Weekend work

🔧 What You’ll Actually Be Doing:
• Preventative maintenance on Class 8 tractors
• DOT inspections (tractors & dry vans)
• Air brake, suspension & wheel seal repairs
• A/C diagnostics & repairs
• Computer diagnostics (scan tools, fault code troubleshooting)
• Electrical repairs
• DEF / aftertreatment troubleshooting
• Radiator & cooling system repairs
• Dry van trailer service (brakes, hubs, lighting, doors)
⚙️ No major engine overhauls.
⚙️ No transmission rebuilds.
⚙️ Steady fleet-style work.
💵 Pay & Incentives
• $28–$30+ per hour (based on experience)
• +$1/hr for ASE
• +$1/hr for CDL
• 6-month performance review

✅ What We’re Looking For
• Experience with diesel PM work
• Ability to run computer diagnostics
• A/C and cooling system experience
• Air brake knowledge
• Own basic hand tools
• CDL preferred (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
