Today we’re celebrating Derrick Van den Hurk, our COO and the man behind so much of the change happening at Kauai Motorsports.
If you know Derrick, you know that motorsports isn’t just a career for him — it’s been a part of his life for as long as he can remember. From the days of riding dirt bikes as a kid, to street bikes, race cars, Harley-Davidsons, and everything in between… the passion has always been there. 🏁🏍️
But what makes Derrick special isn’t just his love for motorsports.
It’s the way he believes in people.
He has always had a heart for the underdog — for the people willing to work hard, chase something bigger, and prove themselves. He believes in giving people a chance, building people up, and creating opportunities for those who may not always get one.
That same passion and belief in people is something he brings with him every day at Kauai Motorsports.
From the past to the present, from two wheels to four, and from a young kid with a dirt bike to helping lead an entire motorsports family — the journey has been one hell of a ride.
