I’ve tried to stay out of this situation, but as a Hispanic man, the son of immigrant parents, and a local business owner, I cannot stay silent while members of our community are living in fear.
Immigrant families are part of the heart of Liberal. They are our relatives, friends, neighbors, customers, employees, and hardworking people who help keep this community moving every day.
I stand with my people. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and humanity—regardless of where they were born or their immigration status.
To every family feeling scared or uncertain right now: you are not alone. We see you, we value you, and we stand with you. 🤝🏽❤️
Eh tratado de mantenerme al margen de esta situación, pero como hombre hispano, hijo de padres inmigrantes y dueño de un negocio local, no puedo quedarme callado mientras miembros de nuestra comunidad viven con miedo.
Las familias inmigrantes son parte del corazón de Liberal. Son nuestros familiares, amigos, vecinos, clientes, empleados y personas trabajadoras que ayudan a que esta comunidad siga adelante todos los días.
Yo estoy con mi gente. Todos merecen ser tratados con dignidad, respeto y humanidad, sin importar dónde nacieron o su estatus migratorio.
A todas las familias que sienten miedo o incertidumbre en este momento: no están solas. Los vemos, los valoramos y estamos con ustedes. 🤝🏽❤️
