What a great evening! ✈️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Garmin Aviation Seminar, and a special thank you to Garmin representative Cody Starkel for spending the evening with us and sharing the latest in Garmin avionics technology.

We loved having the hangar filled with fellow aviators, talking airplanes, checking out the latest avionics, and enjoying dinner together.

What a week at VERTICON 2026!

We’re grateful for the conversations, connections, and memorable moments shared throughout the conference. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Thoroughbred Aviation Maintenance booth, spent time with our team, and took a closer look at the MD 500 Super D20B project.

We’re proud of what this project represents and thankful to everyone who helped make this week such a special one.

A few highlights from Day 3 at VERTICON 2026.

The Thoroughbred Aviation Maintenance team had another great day on the floor, with conversations, special moments, and time spent with industry partners and friends.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was recognizing the newest MD 500 Super D20B helicopter owners as they saw the completed aircraft in person for the first time, while also celebrating Joe Otte and Todd Case for their leadership in bringing this milestone project to life.

Our Georgetown, TX location will be the only full-service center in Texas and includes blade balancing, basic to advanced maintenance support and specialized tooling.

“We have been focused on ensuring our network is geographically aligned with our fielded fleet,” said MD Helicopters VP of Aftermarket Service and Support, Ryan Weeks. “By adding an ASC in Texas, we are better serving our customers with our trusted partners at Thoroughbred Aviation and expanding our network into a region that has one of the highest concentrations of MDs in the country.”

MD Helicopters has announced a further expansion of its service network with the addition of a new Authorised Service Centre its first MD ASC in Texas.

We're expanding! Thoroughbred Aviation Maintenance is proud to announce the opening of our newest service center at Georgetown TX Executive Airport (GTU).

Thoroughbred is an approved Part 145 Repair Station and approved service center for Cessna, Beech, Cirrus, Cirrus CAPS, Diamond, Tecnam, Airvan, and Rotax for fixed-wing aircraft as well as a service center for Bell, MD, Airbus and Robinson rotorcraft. Our Georgetown, TX location is a satellite 145 repair station with similar capabilities.

We support and install all major brands of civilian avionics and autopilot systems such as Garmin, Aspen, Avidyne, etc. along with mission equipment such as Churchill Navigation, Flir camera system, Wescam systems, Technisonic radios, etc.
