This week I was able to get one step closer to finishing a one bedroom unit on Mifflin St.

When we bought this place, this bathroom subfloor was spongy and the shower was ruined among the rest of the deferred maintenance. With the floor torn out I was able to fix the subfloor with new OSB & replace the shower, vanity and flooring.

After we sand and refinish the living room + bedroom floors it will be ready for rent 😁

This month I finished up my largest transaction yet - which just also happens to Pinnacle Capital Investments newest apartment buildings. Getting this deal over the finish line showed me first hand the differences between a commercial multi use property and residential transaction.

We are beyond excited to give this property on Washington Street the face lift it deserves in the coming months. Our goal is to provide more housing to the community by renovating the vacant units we inherited and getting local families the housing they need.

I spent the last few days restoring a small front porch at a duplex of mine in Huntingdon. The entire building needed fixing when it was bought! This porch and the decorative woodwork is from the late 1800's and I couldn't bring myself to tear it down yet. Hopefully it can see another 100 years!

Last night was one of my favorite yearly events - The Heart of JCo's annual Gala. The Gala is our biggest fundraising event every year. It brings together so many people for a great night of auctions, food and dancing. All for the goal of making sure no child is hungry or excluded due to financial hardship in our local community.

All throughout the year, the Heart of JCo works tirelessly to vet and approve help requests, shopping for kids, planning our initiatives; like school snack stashes, girl power pouches, back to school bundles, our Christmas initiative, and so much more. Not all stages of renovations are pretty - but this one is starting to come to fruition. This property was gutted down to studs and is getting closer to becoming another great home for a local family! After painting is totally done, trim and finishing touches will make this a great 4bd 1 bath.
