Good Morning Lepanto ☕️,
I would like to announce that I am officially running for Mayor of Lepanto. I am a lifelong resident of Lepanto, a proud graduate of East Poinsett County High School, and a small business owner committed to supporting our school and community. ❤️🖤
✅My roots are here, and my work reflects a deep investment in the people and places that make Lepanto home.
✅I earned my bachelor’s degree from Arkansas State University with an emphasis in finance and accounting. Over the years, I have worked in both small‑business and corporate accounting, gaining a strong understanding of financial processes, balanced budgeting, account reconciliation, and month‑open and month‑close procedures. I have developed and implemented standard operating procedures that prioritize safety and uphold company standards, and I have worked as a procurement manager, where sourcing and resource management were essential parts of my role.
✅My experience also includes shared‑profit savings projects, serving on a diversity committee focused on inclusion, and participating in efforts to support individuals with expunged records who had reformed and deserved a second chance.
✅I currently serve on a local nonprofit dedicated to revitalizing Main Street, and I help lead the annual coat and shoe drive for our elementary students.
✅In recent years, I have taken an active role in addressing abandoned and dilapidated properties throughout town. I have spent two years tracking down property owners, connecting them with buyers, and helping facilitate agreements that resulted in unsafe structures being torn down and lots being cleaned up. I am also working with a group of individuals committed to developing a plan to tear down or renovate Main Street, which is in urgent need of attention.
❤️For too long, we have heard excuses about why progress cannot be made and why things must remain the way they are. I have spent time reaching out, building connections, and finding solutions. Change is possible, and soon, you will see that things can improve when we stop accepting limitations and start taking action.
I would appreciate your vote come November. 🗳️
