So much nostalgia this year as we participated in the parade instead of watching. Had a guy call 3 days ago about a glass in his lincoln town car. I called today and asked if he had received any quotes (didn't ask the price). Told me yes and he was scheduled Monday with one of my competitors, I quoted him anyways and he replied "dang man, I wish you would've called 3 hours sooner, you would've saved me $50. I asked who he was quoted through and he told me so I told him to see if he could call them and cancel. He called back 5 minutes later laughing hysterically and said "I don't know what yall got against each other but the person asked "I don't want to be nosey but who quoted you for less" and he replied "Quick Fix Glass" the person said "what!?!!?? Oh no, we will do it for 10 less." So in the long run i saved this guy $60. Heck yea, and I gained a future customer, have 2 cars lined up soon for him. This competition that shall not be named in hickory better drop them prices and stop trying to make a fortune off of 1 single job. You've cut me by $10 here and $20 there where you used to be $100-$300 more than me depending on the vehicle and have weaseled your way back into a carlot or 2. Funny thing is you better keep doing that cause I'm getting them to let me know your price before I quote and if I can't do it for that I'll let them go with you guys. But in the long run you're only driving up my prices for that lot when you increase on them. Bout to have a sponsor and some banners coming to a location near you. Looks like we've got a war on our hands. This is so exciting!!!
