Campfire Bacon Cheeseburger Hobo Packets

Campfire Bacon Cheeseburger Hobo Packets are a savory delight! Packed with ground beef, crispy bacon, cheese, and veggies, wrapped in foil and cooked over the fire for a delicious outdoor meal.

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 onion, thinly sliced
1 tomato, sliced
4 hamburger buns, halved
Salt and pepper to taste
4 tablespoons ketchup
4 tablespoons mustard
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
Aluminum foil
Cooking spray
Instructions:
Prepare the Grill or Campfire:

If using a grill, preheat it to medium-high heat. If cooking over a campfire, make sure you have hot coals ready.
Prepare the Hobo Packets:

Tear off four large squares of aluminum foil, each about 12x12 inches.
Spray the center of each foil square with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Form the Burger Patties:

Divide the ground beef into four equal portions.
Shape each portion into a patty that will fit onto a hamburger bun.
Assemble the Hobo Packets:

Place a burger patty on each piece of foil.
Season the patties with salt and pepper to taste.
Top each patty with crumbled bacon, shredded cheddar cheese, sliced onion, and tomato.
Spread ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise on the inside of each hamburger bun half.
Place a prepared bun half, spread side down, on top of each burger patty.
Wrap and Seal the Packets:

Bring the sides of the foil up and over the burgers.
Fold the edges of the foil together to seal the packets tightly, leaving a little room for steam to circulate.
Cook the Hobo Packets:

Place the sealed packets on the grill grate or directly onto the hot coals of the campfire.
Cook for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the burgers are cooked through and the cheese is melted.
Carefully open one packet to check for doneness, being mindful of the hot steam.
Serve:

Once cooked, carefully open the foil packets.
Serve the bacon cheeseburger hobo packets directly from the foil or transfer them to plates.
