Be careful who you take your cars to! We were lucky enough to help out another customer and save them money! This part is called an auxillary water pump for a hybrid car. COMMON ISSUE ALERT! Good morning from Frakes Reapair! Story is customer concern was the car lossing oil but he couldnt see any leaks under the car and said exhaust looked normal. The customer dropped the car off to us and we all know over time gaskets just go bad. With that being said we were able to find the problem ASAP! Found the valve cover gasket to be leaking but not only that with a more in depth search we found a small crack in the plastic valve cover. New gasket and valve cover installed and the car is good as new! Hey Everyone, we wanted to take a moment and talk about something that doesn't seem to get talked about enough. In some cases when replacing your brakes it is okay to only replace brake pads. In other cases you should replace pads and rotors. Overtime brake rotors get hot and can warp or create a glazed surface that with new pads can cause noise when braking. Also, the brake rotor sits on the hub assembly and overtime the rotor can rust to the bearing making it hard to come of and can damage the bearing during removal. Today we have a Honda Crv that had an Air Conditioning complaint found no freon in the system and and injected dye to the system to find the leak. We came across its original condenser that is falling apart from corrosion. Replaced the condenser, checked the system for leaks, and recharged the system. Car blows bone chilling cold! So something that's not seen all the time but does happen. Customer complaint is the truck squats alot on the driver side. Through doing a little investigative work found that the Spring mount or also known as the perch rusted away and cracked in 4 places! Causing it to lean in towards the engine and ultimately lower the driver side. After some time drilling the rivets out got this bad boy replaced and now back to normal height. Customer had their vehicle towed in because it would not run. Found it had circuit codes for the ignition coils. Popped the hood and found the oil cap looked to be chewed on. With some investigation found the wires that go to the pcm chewed apart. Repaired the wiring and got the vehicle back to the customer ASAP!
