Got Doug’s truck setup in preparation for a Magnuson blower down the road. The truck is sporting a Brian Tooley Racing L83 PDS camshaft paired with a set of headers. We are still waiting on the CORSA Performance exhaust to really make this thing sound right!

Special thanks to our good people at ELITE Tuned School for handling the Global B Calibration on this truck.

Joe brought his Chevelle in after dealing with a number of issues with the Holley Sniper system and never being able to get the car to run and drive the way it should.

We spent some time going through the setup, addressing the issues we found, and then getting the calibration sorted out.

The dyno results were also a little surprising. I expected the car to pick up some power with the air cleaner lid removed, but I didn’t expect to see as much of a gain as it did.

Another L83 5.3L truck, this one has the Brian Tooley Racing L8T torque camshaft everything else is stock.

Solid gains over a stock L8T camshaft which is the red line run. Green is stock L83 baseline. All of these runs are 6 speed trucks pulled in 3rd gear.

You can hear that torque cam through the stock exhaust!

Dialed in Greg’s truck after he installed a Brian Tooley Racing Stage 1 Camshaft.

The truck is an 8-speed pulled in 4th gear. The red run is a stock L83 6-speed pulled in 3rd gear for a baseline. The transmission ratios are fairly close, making it a good comparison.

The truck is completely stock other than the camshaft.
