Located in Lehighton, PA. The owner of Northfield from its creation, Jerry, has recently decided to "try out Retirement". Be sure to stop by if you're in the area. His younger son, Jesse, relocated alongside his fiancée & kiddo back to Pennsylvania -- after living in Montana for (8) years. Jesse grew up working alongside his Dad in th

e shop. So, rest assured, you - and most importantly, your Jeep - are in good hands. Feel free to give the shop a call if you need anything, we’re lucky to have a walking knowledge-bank of Jeep parts/repairs/etc... right here in the shop with us [most days]. We look forward to working with each & every customer, to continue making sure their needs meet & exceed the "Northfield Standard"...

The is slowly coming back to life. We have another visitor in the shop that's been taking up some time, but we are picking away at the list of things that need to be done. We have a few items to wrap up on the interior and a couple of minor cosmetic items that still need to be addressed. It's always the last 10% that takes the longest.

This little orange Willy's fought me to the very end but I think it turned out great! We installed power disc brakes with all new brake lines along with a new set of hanging pedals. We swapped out the old T-90 with a T-5 transmission backed by a Dana 300 to finish it out and give it a little more top speed. Another one out the door and back on the road!

Back from the paint shop and boy does she look pretty. The customer decided at the last minute he wanted a dark candy red. The paint shop mixed up this color and it looks amazing! Still a ton of work to go until she's fully assembled so let's get to work!

We are hard at work on the wagon project, which is slowly getting out of hand. We got the drum brakes pulled off and started getting the disc setup bolted in place. We are using a newer Jeep pedal assembly and brake booster setup to make everything work. Next step is to pull the transmission and start mocking up the T-5 and Dana 300. This is going to make a world of difference when driving this old Jeep. Can't wait to get it back out on the road.

We got a few photos of the straight from the body shop. The Jeep is painted and boy is she looking good! Just some teaser shots for now until we get her picked up and bring it back to the shop. We're getting excited to see this one come to life, any guesses on the color?

We've got a little bit different project in the shop this week. The owner believes this is a 1948 wagon, but someone must have put a different front end on it and changed to a one piece windshield. Based on the speedometer cluster, the body was pre-1949. Anyway, it's in the shop to receive some drivability upgrades, including; disc brakes, 5spd transmission and upgraded master cylinder. Currently, it's got a SBC with a T-90 backed by a Dana 20. Looking forward to seeing how she drives when it's complete.

Another one, off to the paint shop. We've struggled quite a bit over the last two weeks getting this Jeep to the point we felt it was ready for paint but the time has finally come. The is finally out of the shop for a little bit and will return with a fresh coat of paint, looking better than ever. We are getting excited to see this one come to life.

The is back at the shop for a couple of repairs and wiring for additional lights. Tune-up, oxygen sensor and a new EGR transducer to get her running right and take care of the check engine light. New front seal in the transfercase to take care of a small leak and two more LED lights wired up. Just a quick visit to take care of a few loose ends and she's back on the road.

We got the Twany Orange CJ7 wrapped up last week. I had a pretty good idea for how I wanted to reinforce the bumper and I ended up finding some bar stock laying around that already had a little bend in it. Spent some time getting my brackets to fit before tacking them in place and pulling the bumper off to finish weld. While we had the bumper off, we took care of the rust with a wire wheel and went over the inside with rust converter. Finished it off with some primer and paint to hopefully protect this bumper for a few more years.

The final coats of primer are going on the and she'll be ready for the body shop. We are going to sand everything one final time to ensure the body is smooth and without imperfections. Preparation is the most important part of the paint job so any issues found now will be addressed. We are very excited to see the color the customer picked out for this Jeep.

We've got a sweet little CJ in the shop this week. A good customer brought us his all original Tawny Orange 1977 CJ7. It's got a bunch of cool options; split bench seat, with heavy duty rear bumper and tire carrier. We are going to add some support to the factory rear bumper so it can handle a small utility trailer without sagging. It's a good day in the shop when we get to work on Jeeps like this.
