I was able to get my hands on a dana44 out of a 78 scout. Bigger brakes and 30 spline axles make for a good upgrade for a tapered shaft 1967 d44. I am excited to get this thing back together!!!!

It took a lot of profanity and borrowed brain power to get this dana 44 rebuilt. New limited slip differential, 4.27 ring and pinion. Hopefully get it back under the scout this week.

Driver side floor, kick, and rocker panels.

I bought this 63 Scout on ebay. The pictures looked pretty good and even upon inspection it didn't look that bad. Only when I got it home did I notice the last rust repair consisted of placing the replacement panels over the rusted panels and that in reality the rust was extensive and deep.

The scout drives like a tractor. It really does. Early scouts came with drum brakes and no power assist. No power steering but they really didn't need that with 26 inch tall by 6 inch width tires. I plan on running 285/70R17's on this little truck which makes these tires 32 inches tall and 12 inches wide. I want power steering to move these things around. So after much research and a lot of fabrication, I was able to replace the old original box with a box out of a 2004 Jeep grand Cherokee!

Back in 2012 I saw two Carl Heald Super Trykes in the trade or barter section of the classifieds. I had an old Yamaha Moto4 225 without a title that was sitting in my bone yard and called the number and proposed the trade. After a few questions a pick up time was scheduled. We arrived at the guy's house and out the front door came James, all 5'6", 123 pounds of him. I couldn't help noticing the smoke trail following him and thought his unwashed red hair was about to combust at any second. I was a little relieved when he stretched his hand out and the smell of the most pungent cannabis caught up with him and engulfed us both. He took us around the back of his double wide Fleetwood and showed us the trikes. It had taken me two hours on Google to figure out the brand on these 1970's super stars. I was glad to see that both trikes were fairly complete and both engines spun freely.
We traded bills of sale and loaded the three wheeled beauty queens on my trailer. Night was settling in on us and the drive home was fairly quite. We stopped in Scipio to get gas and Mitch gave a stray dog the rest of our travel jerky. I have to admit there was a little excitement building up inside thinking of the rebuild. "Under the milky way" was playing on the radio and Mitch and I talked about what any two 12 year-olds would talk about. Go Karts, motor-cycles, and trips we were going to take during the summer.

I bought this 1967 Nissan Patrol K60 in November of 2019. Nissan only imported 1200 of these between 1962 and 1969. Largely based on the willy's Jeep, it had an 86.6 in wheelbase. This one had the hard top. Power came from a 4 liter in-line six and 4-speed manual transmission. This one was missing the original 4 liter engine, transmission, and drive-train. I don't know much about the individual history on this one other than it was originally red. The previous owner wanted to make it into a rock crawler. He reversed the front shakles, widened out the leafs and put full width chevy 3/4 ton axles under it. My goal... make it a daily driver.

I bought this 1963 International Scout 80 off ebay back in October of 2017. It had lived it's life as a forest service truck in Colorado not far from where it was originally sold from the Cripple Creek Auto Co. in Cripple Creek Colorado. Its tags had expired for the last time in January of 1996. I found it at a marine repair shop in Riverton Wyoming. This was the half cab version and someone had created tool boxes out of the wheel wells. The crazy huge bumper in front with a tow hitch hinted at the utilitarian life it had lived. My goal is to make it a daily driver!
