October is Pedestrian Safety Month, and today is Walk & Roll to School Day—a good reminder that some of the most vulnerable people on our roads aren't inside a vehicle.

Kids are walking, biking and crossing busy streets on their way to and from school. A few extra seconds of patience can make a big difference. Slow down in school zones, pay attention at crosswalks and put the phone away, especially during those busy morning and afternoon hours.

At Community Collision, we spend a lot of time helping people after accidents happen. We'd much rather see our neighbors get where they're going safely in the first place.

Keep an eye out for each other out there.

Today is National Do Something Nice Day, but around here, helping people isn’t something we save for one day on the calendar.

Sometimes that means helping someone through the stress of getting their vehicle repaired. Sometimes it means supporting organizations doing important work in our community. And sometimes it means being part of something like Recycled Rides, where repairing a vehicle can help give someone a little more independence and a whole lot of possibility.

Larry has always believed a business should be part of the community it serves. We’re proud to work alongside organizations like Find Feed & Restore and to look for opportunities to help when we can.

Because doing something nice doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it just starts with noticing where you can make a difference.

A lot happens between the moment you hand us your keys and the moment we hand them back.

There’s the repair itself, of course. But there are also questions to answer, updates to give, insurance details to work through and sometimes simply helping you figure out how you’re getting home.

Those things matter to us.

At Community Collision Center, we’ve always believed a successful repair isn’t just about how your vehicle looks when it leaves our shop. It’s also about how you were treated while it was here.

Cars can be repaired. Relationships have to be earned. We’re grateful every time someone in our community trusts us with both.

If your vehicle needed collision repair tomorrow, what would you want to know before choosing a shop?

Would you want to know…

How long will the repair take?
Will you work with my insurance company?
How will I get around while my car is being repaired?
How will I know the repair was done properly?
Will someone keep me updated along the way?

Or maybe there’s something completely different you’d want to ask.

Drop your question in the comments. 👇

We’d love to know what matters most to you and we may answer your question in an upcoming post or video.

This weekend, Find Feed & Restore brought the community together for a fundraiser supporting the work they do for local families — and Community Collision’s Larry Jaskowiak was honored to be asked to speak.

Our relationship with Find, Feed & Restore has given us the opportunity to be part of Recycled Rides, helping provide reliable transportation to people who truly need it. In this video, you’ll hear from Larry about why that work matters to Community Collision — and from one of the recipients about what receiving a vehicle has meant to him.

A vehicle isn’t just transportation. Sometimes it means getting to work, getting your kids where they need to go, making appointments, and having a little more control over your life.

We’re grateful to Find, Feed & Restore for the work they do and proud to play a small part in it.

Take a few minutes to hear the story. It’s worth it.

Being a good neighbor is about more than sharing an address.

It’s about showing up. Lending a hand when you can. Supporting the organizations doing good work around you. And taking care of the people who make your community home.

At Community Collision Center, community has always meant more than a word in our name.

From Recycled Rides and local partnerships to the way we take care of the customers who walk through our doors, we believe a local business should be part of the community it serves.

This National Good Neighbor Day, we’re grateful for all the neighbors, businesses and organizations that make Lake County such a special place to call home.

Here’s to continuing to show up for one another.

Sometimes the biggest problem isn’t leaving your car with us, it’s figuring out how you’re getting home.

When your vehicle needs collision repair, life doesn’t stop. You still have work, appointments, family responsibilities and places you need to be.

That’s why Community Collision Center offers rides to and from the shop.

It’s not just about convenience. It’s about recognizing that repairing your vehicle affects more than your vehicle and finding one more way to make the process a little easier.

Taking care of our customers means thinking about what they need beyond the repair.

An accident doesn’t just damage your vehicle. It can throw your whole day, and sometimes your whole week, off track.

Suddenly, you’re dealing with insurance, repair decisions, transportation and trying to figure out what happens next.

At Community Collision Center, we understand that you didn’t plan for any of this.

That’s why our job goes beyond repairing your vehicle. We’ll answer your questions, keep you informed, help you navigate the process and do what we can to make an unexpected situation easier.

You take care of everything else life is throwing at you.

We’ll help take care of this.

What happens behind the shop doors matters.

Community Collision Center’s new location gives our team more room, better resources and a facility designed to help us do what matters most: repair vehicles properly.

Because investing in our shop isn’t really about having a bigger building or newer equipment.

It’s about what those things allow us to do for our customers—work efficiently, stay current with today’s increasingly complex vehicles and deliver the quality repairs you’re trusting us to make.

We’re proud of our new home, but we’re even more proud of the work that happens inside it.

Getting your vehicle repaired is only part of what happens after an accident.

There are insurance questions to sort through. Transportation to figure out. Decisions to make. And usually quite a few questions along the way.

At Community Collision Center, we believe taking care of our customers means helping with the whole experience, not just the vehicle.

We’ll keep you informed, explain what’s happening, help you navigate the insurance process and even help with rides to and from the shop when you need them.

Because a good repair matters and so does making a stressful situation a little easier.
