So there are mixed opinions 🤔 on touching up your roof. If you develop a small hole by a 🌳 tree limb gouge or a screw 🔩 head pops thru, I think touching up is a good idea. When it starts to crack or separate, I suggest re-sealing over the old.
The manufacturer of dicor says you should remove any loose pieces or particles followed by cleaning all the areas with denatured alcohol, then applying new sealant. The first picture, with the new touch up, clearly shows this old sealant is breaking down and it is separating from the roof membrane. It should be sealed back up to prevent water 💦 intrusion.
The second picture shows a new seal.
