๐๐๏ธ Leesburg is Going Purple for a Purpose! ๐
Last evening, June 1, the City Hall Courtyard was filled with a sea of purple as community members, businesses, organizations, and local leaders gathered to kick off Purple for a Purpose and recognize June as Alzheimer's & Brain Awareness Month.
Cecil Clark Chevrolet was proud to stand among those showing support for individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.
We extend a special thank you to Leesburg Mayor (and Rotarian) Allison Berry for her leadership and dedication in bringing this community-wide initiative to life. With the support of the City of Leesburg, residents and businesses are encouraged to wear purple, decorate purple, light up purple, and help raise awareness throughout the month of June.
And rememberโthis effort extends beyond Downtown Leesburg! The goal is to turn ALL of Leesburg purple. If your home, business, office, organization, or neighborhood is within the City of Leesburg limits, we invite you to join the movement and help spread awareness.
Together, we can support caregivers, honor loved ones, raise awareness, and remind those affected by Alzheimer's that they are not alone.
The month-long campaign will culminate with the Purple for a Purpose 5K Run/Walk & Community Event on Saturday, June 27, in Downtown Leesburg.
Let's show what our community can accomplish when we come together for a meaningful cause. ๐
