🎉IT’S JUST A DIRT BIKE RACE🎉

Sometimes racing doesn’t need to be any more complicated than that.

No points to chase. No championship on the line. Just motorcycles, a starting gate, your buddies and one more chance to race before the season is over.

That’s the idea behind “It’s Just a Dirt Bike Race” — November 7–8 at Grain Valley MX, presented by Behind the Gate Podcast.

And if you have a dirt bike, chances are we have a class for you.

SATURDAY IS PRACTICE.
Come out, get some laps in and get ready for race day.

SUNDAY WE RACE MOTOCROSS!

We’ll have a full lineup of modern classes, plus a couple of vintage classes. Kids, Vets, beginners, experts, old bikes, new bikes — bring what you’ve got and come race.

We’ll have lots of awards, plus RC cars going to the winners of select kids’ classes!

And to finish the year, we’re bringing back a favorite…

THE DES NATIONS RACE IS BACK!

Build a three-rider team and get ready for three laps at intermission on Sunday. All three teammates race on the track together against the other teams. We combine your three finishing positions, and the team with the lowest total score wins.

And you’re not just racing for bragging rights…

WE’RE TALKING BIG TROPHIES for the winning team plus some mystery boxes !!

That’s it. No need to overthink it.

MODERN BIKE RACERS plus barkbusters and minibikers💥

Modern bikes, Vet riders, kids, minibikes and Barkbusters — we’re racing them all Saturday at Misfits MX.

If you’ve got a modern bike and have been wondering where you fit into an MOVMX weekend, this is it.

SATURDAY:
Riders Meeting: 12:45 PM
Racing Starts: 1:30 PM

SATURDAY RACE ORDER IS SET:

1. ODMC Novice, Intmd & Expert*
2. Peewee Open
3. Modern Open — 125cc–Open, 2-stroke or 4-stroke
4. 65 Open & 85 Open*
5. +30 & +40*
6. +50 & +60*
7. Minibike Open
8. Modern Big Bike Beginner
9. Modern Big Bike Novice
10. Barkbuster — bikes not originally designed for motocross

Classes run together but are scored separately.

Bring the modern bike. Bring the minibike. Bring that motorcycle that was never supposed to see a motocross starting gate.

Sunday is our traditional MOVMX race day with Vintage, Post Vintage, EVO and Minibike Cup classes taking over the track.

Two days. Plenty of racing. Something for just about every bike in the garage.

The Cass County Fair Cross is here, July 14 and July 15th, and we go behind the scenes with the man building the race—Chris Frye.

Chris has spent more than three decades shaping motocross tracks and racing experiences across the Midwest and beyond, including Boom Diggity, Ponca, Merwin, KCMoto, AMP, and countless local facilities.

We talk about the upcoming Cass County Fair Cross, what racers can expect, and what goes into this once a year race. But Chris's story goes much deeper than moving dirt.

Midwest Mx Championship will host one Fall Festival Championship Event at Grain Valley MX !!

Saturday will have an open practice plus three specialty races! Sunday will be all about crowning winners of this season end event !
