This 2000 F-350 in Woodland Green Metallic showed up tired, scratched, and rough around the edges but with only 61K miles, 4x4, Banks Exhaust, Lariat trim, and some killer wheels, it deserved better.
Originally booked for a quick polish and wax, it quickly turned into a full-blown revival. Deep scratches, oxidation, overspray, wax-stained trim, and even some clear coat failure. This truck had it all.
Here’s the process:
• Wash + decon
• 2000–5000 grit wet sanding
• Rotary cut w/ purple wool
• Rotary mid step with microfiber
• DA polish for clarity
• DA jeweling pass to bring that deep, wet gloss
• Topped with IGL Kenzo 5-year coating
Not every job needs all the tools on the shelf but this one did. And I loved every minute of it. The combination of the wet sanding at that last 10% of gloss edged out with the DA jeweling step really did it in for me. The first time I rolled it out in the sun my jaw dropped. I had no idea Ford made such a cool green 25 years ago.
Josh told me it’s never looked this good, not even new. That’s the kind of feedback that keeps me fired up.
