Good afternoon everyone. We have reached a decision on today's event. We are calling off today's show due to inclement weather conditions BUT we are rescheduling the I-5 championship race for Sept. 19th.

We are also submitting to for a make update to NASCAR for a make up date on the same date.

We apologize for not getting this one in today, we did all we could, unfortunately Mother Nature wins today. We'll see you at the next one.

Have a great week. God bless.

ATTENTION DRIVERS & TEAMS STAYING AT WILLAMETTE SPEEDWAY TONIGHT

We’re expecting a little light rain tonight.

Nothing dramatic.

No ark required.

No need to start pairing the race cars up two-by-two.

But the access road behind Turns 1 and 2 near the campground doesn’t need a whole lot of rain before it starts getting ideas.

So if you’re leaving or coming back into the Speedway tonight, PLEASE USE THE BACK GATE.

We’d really prefer that your race hauler remain a race hauler and not become a permanent campground attraction.

Save yourself from becoming tomorrow morning’s top story in the pits.

Thank you for helping us keep everybody moving and the access road in one piece.

PLEASE USE THE BACK GATE TONIGHT.

SWEET HOME’S KYE FRICK KNOWS HOW TO GET TO THE FRONT AT WILLAMETTE

LEBANON, Ore. — When the I-5 Silver Bullet Late Model Series closes its 2026 season at Willamette Speedway this weekend, Sweet Home’s Kye Frick brings something particularly relevant to the conversation:

He has already won here this season.

On May 30, Frick started ninth in the Willamette Speedway Late Model feature and drove to the victory, finishing ahead of Joey Tanner and Cory Yeack. The win also snapped Tanner’s six-race Willamette winning streak.

And it has not been Frick’s only strong run at Willamette in 2026.

On April 25, Frick raced his way into the lead early in the Late Model main event before eventually finishing third behind Tanner and Eston Whisler. More recently, on August 22, Frick again finished third, behind Rob Mayea and Tanner.

That makes the No. 08 from Sweet Home more than just another local car in the field.

There is recent evidence that Kye Frick can run at the front at Willamette Speedway and win.

Now the I-5 Silver Bullet Late Model Series comes back to Lebanon for its final two races of the season on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, giving Frick another opportunity on a track where he has already shown speed in 2026. The series itself lists Willamette’s Sept. 5-6 weekend as the conclusion of its season.

For fans from Sweet Home, Lebanon and across the Mid-Willamette Valley, this is a chance to watch one of the area’s own take on some of the Pacific Northwest’s strongest Late Model competition.

Two nights. The I-5 Silver Bullet Late Model Series. Kye Frick back at Willamette Speedway.

Pit gates open at 2:00 p.m., spectator gates at 4:00 p.m., qualifying begins at 4:30 p.m., and racing starts at 6:00 p.m.

NO, YOU’RE NOT SEEING DOUBLE… WELL, MAYBE IN A WAY YOU ARE

LEBANON, Ore. — The waiting is almost over.

In just two days, the I-5 Silver Bullet Late Model Series rolls into Willamette Speedway for a two-night weekend that has all the ingredients of a Pacific Northwest dirt-track showdown: elite Late Model talent, local contenders who know every inch of the place, championship pressure and one of the most demanding racing surfaces in the region.

And yes, if that picture has you looking twice, there is a good reason.

Two cars. Two Whislers. Two nights.

Brothers Ian and Eston Whisler will both be part of the battle when the Silver Bullet Series comes to Lebanon, and with nearly matching black-and-blue Late Models, race fans may need a second look when the field comes roaring past.

But once the green flag drops, there will be nothing identical about the fight for position.

The Late Models will take center stage Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, with the best of the I-5 Silver Bullet Series coming to Lebanon to challenge a group of Willamette racers who have no intention of surrendering home-track advantage without a fight.

This is where championship pressure meets home-track pride.

Where every restart matters.

Where one mistake can cost several positions, and one perfectly timed move can change an entire night.

And soon, the sound of Late Model engines will echo through Lebanon as the I-5 Silver Bullet Late Model Series takes on “The Fastest 1/3 Mile Dirt Track on the West Coast!”

Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6.

Pit gates open at 2:00 p.m., spectator gates open at 4:00 p.m., qualifying begins at 4:30 p.m., and racing starts at 6:00 p.m.

The I-5 Silver Bullet Late Model Series is coming to Willamette Speedway.

Two days to go.
