Job 10:1 was one of my verses today that is so appropriate for today..."I am disgusted with my life. Let me complain freely. My bitter soul must complain." (NLT) The big difference between Job and us, He was complaining to God asking for answers to his horrible loss of everything in his life he loved. He needed answers and he was still trusting God to provide them, comfort him, and strengthen him. Most of us today just get into a bad habit of complaining not because we need answers from God but because we want things, we feel He owes us, and we're focused on our way regardless of what God says. We don't really care about others, we don't read, meditate, and apply God's word daily, and we've become good at rationalization away anything the Holy Spirit convicts us of. We twist God's word into what works best for us. Today's election couldn't be any more clearer to the spiritual battle going on in our communities, states, and Nation! A choice between good and evil! God's word or our selfish desires! Obedience to vote or don't care and doesn't matter attitude! Is your disgust or hatred of a person keeping you from voting properly? You're not happy with anybody but yourself. Job kept the focus on what matters...God. We must do the same! Nobody's perfect, including you. Your vote matters because policy will be made from whoever gets elected and people will be affected. Children need protection, the unborn need protection, your freedom to gather and pray to our mighty God needs protection, and God's given you a voice to pray and to be heard. God's in charge but He's testing us to see our obedience to Him and His word! Be obedient and thank Him for His obedience, love, grace, and mercy to you! Have a blessed week...

The fall colors are really nice, especially considering how dry we have been this summer. Thought I'd get a few pics with the 61 Galaxie before heading out this morning...hot coffee tastes so good on these mornings! Thank the Lord for such beauty!

Jesus wasn't afraid to identify and confront evil to ensure people knew the truth and neither should we...John 8:44 Jesus said, "You belong to your father, the devil". Our behavior, actions, and words have consequences. It's critical to know God's word and to live out our lives accordingly. Our true peace, joy, and fulfillment comes from Him alone. Satan promises peace and happiness but he is the father of lies. We talked about a having an "attitude of gratitude" last night. What has God done in your life? How has He changed your views, strengthened your beliefs, and shown you His power? Who has He placed in your life and removed from your life? The voting season has the ability to show who people are following and who their spiritual father is! A Christian, Bible believing follower of Christ, can't support lawlessness, murder, sexual immortality, perversion, and many other things a political party publicly supports. Nobody is perfect and we all sin but that's not permission to support sinful behavior. The Holy Spirit guides us and convicts us to acknowledge, repent, and ask forgiveness of our sins so we can better glorify God. We each must decide who our spiritual father is and our life reflects that decision. Jesus Christ is the only way to know our Heavenly Father and my prayer is you know Him and you share Him daily. Have a blessed weekend and pray for our Nation to put God first in all things!

It's another beautiful cool fall morning here in Tennessee and I thought this 56 addition to the Lord's amazing backdrop was perfect, along with a few hot cups of coffee of course! Isn't our Lord's creations amazing! Debbie Anderson just loves our colors... The new car man cave fits right in too...

Psalms 117 is the shortest Psalm and the shortest chapter in God's word plus it starts and finishes with the same three words, "Praise the Lord". It's also really simplistic and remarkable when you think about it. It's for all nations and it tells of God's love, faithfulness, kindness, and mercy! It's in the middle of the Bible but it's a great overview for what the entire book is all about...God's love for us. We get sidetracked by satan and society by believing freedom of religion and there are so many kinds and ways to believe but the truth is there is only one God! To know God, through His Son Jesus Christ, is to love Him and to Praise Him. Our spiritual growth shows us what true love is and we realize how selfless and self-centered we truly were. It's a lifelong relationship that continues changing our hearts and removing our sinful nature, which 1 Corinthians 13 does an amazing job of reminding us what we thought love was before Christ. God's love endures forever which is an amazing thing to thank God for. I try every morning to stop and just Praise God; first for giving me another day, for being there with me, for loving me, and for providing the Holy Spirit to guide me. The more you study God's word and the closer you walk with Him the more you realize why we should Praise God. Our hope, our joy, and our fulfillment all comes from God. What's keeping you from enjoying His love and Praising Him? Pray about these things, share with other believers, and trust God! Have a blessed week...

Great weather for cruisin around town in the 61 Galaxie with my beautiful bride Debbie Anderson. We stopped for ice cream and then snapped a few pics in front of this cool old mural. Also, finished this old covered bridge carport and tried it out.

Your Christian values and character produces hope, courage, strength, and comfort in God not government. Your vote must be God centered and focused not political freebies and lies!

God calls you to be generous with your money, not generous with somebody else's money.

The government is not your god, your savior, or your provider. When you replace personal responsibility, hard work, and voluntary generosity with government dependency, you've got a serious worldview problem.

Christians need to stop looking to politicians to do what God has called His people to do.

The shed converted into a covered bridge looking carport turned out pretty good. I have a few more boards for the end, a little more leveling if the crusher run, and a couple of hanging lantern lights and signs on each end to bring this week's project to an end... The 56 Bel Air fit nicely and they look right at home with each other.

God's design for you is not an accident...Jeremiah 29:7 tells us, "Pursue the well-being of the city I have deported you to. Pray to the Lord on its behalf, for when it thrives, you will thrive". We are exactly where he wants us to be, may not be our top 3 places but it's perfectly planned by our Creator! Example after example in God's word about people in captivity or living in strang places but working at full capacity, leading others, and improving lifestyles of their communities versus complaining or feeling sorry for themselves. The differences in people have not changed; some are living to serve and glorify God and others are focused only on self. Christians surrender their lives to follow and serve Him knowing His plans are perfect and He loves us more than we can imagine or describe. He gives us the ability to make choices focused on Him and our choices to glorify Him versus self results in our blessings, our growth, and more opportunities to glorify Him and improve our communities. Communities where people think they control things versus God, are in total chaos. Knowing Christ, following the Holy Spirit's guidance, and knowing our current lot in life is from God gives us peace, comfort, and a mission focus; to share the Gospel, to set the example, and be His hands and feet. The question is; are you faithful, content, and worshipping God in your current spot or are you expecting more before you surrender? Have a blessed weekend and watch God use you in a mighty way, He will if you're willing to surrender!
