Talk about a day. We go to head out and the S10 won’t start. So change of plans and we organize for the day. Get out to Frederick and our brand new water pump doesn’t want to work. No problem. We have another pressure washer we can use hooked up to client water. Well, that one all of a sudden doesn’t work either. Thankfully we were seeing clients we see routinely and they understood so we shifted to interiors only for the day. So now time to get back, figure out what the heck is happening and also prep for Lawton/Ft. Sill Open Streets!

If you’re looking for a low mileage diesel that’s been VERY well taken care of, I know where one is 😁 and the seller cares so much that he even opted for Opti-Coat Hyper Seal ceramic sealant so the future owner has a truck that looks good and is protected.

A day in the life

2 trucks. 6 jobs. A whole lot of Oklahoma roads. And one very busy Tuesday. 😂

Here’s what a day at Skinner Detailing Solutions looked like today:

🚚 BIG TRUCK: Started the morning in Tipton installing a ceramic coating and glass coating on a matte-finish Kia Telluride.

🛻 S10: Headed onto Fort Sill for an exterior detail on a Subaru, then over to LETRA to wash a 40-foot RV.

From there, the S10 crew headed to southwest Lawton to tackle the interior of a Versatile tractor.

Meanwhile, once the coating job was wrapped up in Tipton, the big truck headed toward Elgin to clean the semi for Glover Cattle Company.

And because apparently we weren’t busy enough… 😂

While the big truck was headed to Elgin, we got a call asking if we could also wash the outside of the same Versatile tractor the S10 crew was working on.

So after finishing the semi, the big truck headed back to southwest Lawton, knocked out the tractor exterior, and finally wrapped up the workday.

And while all of that was happening, our HR overlord/receptionist/scheduling department — aka Julie — fielded more than 20 calls, texts, emails, and Facebook messages from new clients trying to get on the schedule.

Now comes the part nobody sees:

🧼 Reset and restock both trucks
🧺 Wash 100+ detailing towels
🧾 Catch up on invoices
📆 Confirm upcoming appointments
🔧 Get everything ready to do it all over again tomorrow

Two trucks running in different directions, one team keeping it all moving.

And tomorrow…we do it again. 😎

📞 WE’VE GOT A NEW PHONE NUMBER! 📞

Skinner Detailing Solutions has officially outgrown my personal cell phone. 😂

Between phone calls, texts, Facebook messages, emails, residential detailing inquiries, fleet work, and everything else coming in, we’ve reached the point where trying to manage it all through one phone just wasn’t cutting it anymore.

So we made a pretty massive upgrade.

We now have a full VOIP business phone system, which means calls and texts to our new number can be handled between Julie and me instead of everything funneling through one person.

Translation: no more black hole of death where you call my personal phone and I finally remember to respond 2–4 business days later. 😂

We’ve also added an AI assistant that can answer many of the basic questions we receive by phone or text, especially after hours. And if your question needs one of us, your information is still captured so Julie or I can follow up.

If you already have my personal cell number, you can absolutely still use it. We’re not shutting it down or disappearing on anybody. Going forward, though, 580-215-0433 will be the primary number for Skinner Detailing Solutions.

Over the next little bit, we’ll be updating our website, social media, online listings, trucks, trailers, and other advertising to reflect the new number.

This is a big upgrade for us, but ultimately it’s about one thing: serving our clients better.

You guys have continued to support us, refer us, and keep our schedule packed, and you deserve a communication system that can keep up with the business you’ve helped us build.
