đźš’ At 11:23 a.m. this morning, we were dispatched to a head-on collision involving a Ram 5500 and a semi hauling wood timbers approximately 1.5 miles west of town on Highway 70.
Upon arrival, the driver of the pickup was determined to be deceased. The driver of the semi was found trapped inside the cab, which had been knocked off the chassis. Our firefighters, with the assistance of TCEMS, were able to extricate the driver, who was then flown by Survival Flight to OU Trauma in critical condition.
Highway 70 remained closed for approximately 9 hours while the investigation and cleanup were completed.
🙏 We ask that you keep both drivers, their families & all first responders in your thoughts & prayers.
