Beautiful Butler-Powered 1970 Pontiac GTO!!

From John Hadcock:
“1970, 455 block, bored 40 over, with Butler rotating assembly.

S**t forged crank 3 1/4 inch stroke with eagle 6.8 inch rods custom Ross pistons.

Edelbrock RPM heads 64cc New Ferraro intake and exhaust valves, Harlan Sharp 1.65 rocker arms,  went through all the heads.

Ported and polished I can’t remember it’s flowing around 314 CFM. It has a turbo 400 transmission with a TCI 3500 stall full manual with transmission brake.

Ford 9 inch, 389 gears with a Detroit locker. I am the second owner bought it in 1997 from the original owner.

A lot of it would not be possible without one of my best friends Sean at Spann auto machine. Sean did all the machine work top to bottom, boring, honing with torque plate, decking, milling everything and he let me do part of it myself and would oversee me and has taught me so many things.

20 some years ago, the same friend Shawna myself did all the painting body on the car. It is all metal except for the fiberglass hood that I don’t have on it right now lol.”

Turquoise 66 Pontiac GTO with a Tri Power/Butler 505 in Switzerland (Both have Butler engines!)

Complete, dyno tested 505 c.i. Tri-Power Butler Pontiac Engine.

Another beautiful example of a Pontiac in Europe!

Peter Baumann from Switzerland has built an immaculate GTO and came to Butler Performance for 505 cu.in.

Pontiac engine with an IAII block, BP/Edelbrock heads and a BP/COMP custom hyd roller cam.

It features a complete 1966 Tri-Power assembly built by Mike’s Tri Power specifically for this combo and it works great.

This engine on pump gas made 520 HP @ only 5200 RPM and over 600 ft/lbs torque @ 3500 RPM!! This Goat has beauty AND power!

This is pure Pontiac power.

Jeff Raff’s WW2 Bomber inspired beast built to pay tribute to those who have served.

Jeff did all the Fabrication himself and the build took him around 8 years to complete.

The power plant is a 1972 455 bored .060 over topped with 87 cc Edelbrock heads, the cam a is 540 lift hydraulic roller Comp Cams ground for Butler on a 112 lobe center.

Compression is 9.35 to 1, short block has eagle rods and crank, pushing Ross pistons. All backed by a TH 400 trans.

This is pure Pontiac power.

’78 Pontiac Trans Am with Butler 467

“Thanks again!  We’re definitely a Pontiac family, and will be forever.  Here’s a picture of my boys holding up the flag in front of our ‘78 Trans Am that’s got a 467 Butler short block as well as the other two “Pontiacs” in the fleet.  The blue ‘89 Safari is the LS swap that spun a rod bearing and is getting the stroker kit and the ‘86 K5 has a 400 Poncho swapped under the hood.  It’s a 557 block that I recently found had cracked so it will be getting a 455 as soon as the wagon is back on the road.  Once the 455 build starts, we’ll definitely be placing another order!”
