There is a tornado in East Central Kansas !
Drivers, if a tornado is present or imminent, your priority is to safely exit traffic and seek proper shelter. Do not attempt to outrun a tornado in your vehicle. If a sturdy building is nearby, signal, pull over safely, and go inside immediately.
If no shelter is available, do not remain in your vehicle. Park as far off the roadway as possible, avoid stopping under bridges or overpasses, and move to a low-lying area such as a ditch. Lie flat and cover your head and neck.
Always stay aware of traffic conditions while pulling over, use your hazard lights, and avoid sudden stops that could cause collisions.”
Better yet, stay at home… go to the safest place , a basement/ tornado shelter. A friendly reminder from your Midwest Driving School family.

FRIDAY EVENING ❄️: The threat is growing for a possible "snow squall" impacting the Kansas City Metro between 3-8 PM Friday. These are short but intense bursts of snow combined with winds that reduce visibility to near whiteout conditions. Though accumulations are typically a dusting at best, the travel hazards may be significant. Please stay alert this evening for changing weather conditions!
