Welcome back, Jayhawks 🏁

KU Car Club is officially back for Fall 2026, and September is packed.

Here’s what we’ve got coming up:

🏎️ Saturday, September 5: Midnight Cruise
We’re kicking off the month with a late-night cruise around Lawrence. Come out, bring your car, meet the community, and start the semester with us.

🏁 Sunday, September 13: Formula One Watch Party: Spanish GP
We’ll be getting together at Andretti’s to watch the Spanish Grand Prix. Come hang out with the club, watch the race, and enjoy some motorsports with everyone.

☕ Sunday, September 20: Caffeine & Octane
One of our favorite ways to spend a Sunday morning, cars, coffee, and a huge variety of builds. We’ll be getting a group together to head out.

🏆 Sunday, September 27: NASCAR Cup Series at Kansas Speedway
We’re partnering with Kansas Speedway/NASCAR this season and have discounted student tickets available through KU Car Club. This is one of our biggest events of the month, so keep an eye out for ticket details and meetup information.

And if you’re new to KU Car Club, joining is easy, just shoot us a DM KU CAR CLUB and we’ll get you connected.

No specific car required. Whether you’re into builds, exotics, classics, motorsports, cruising, or you just want to meet people who love cars, you’re welcome here.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT 🏁🔥

It’s official. KU Car Club x NASCAR x Kansas Speedway. 🏎️💨

After meeting with the team at Kansas Speedway this morning, we officially got the green light to be part of race weekend! 🤝

📅 NASCAR Cup Series — September 25–27
🏁 Race Day — Sunday, September 27
🎟️ KU Student Tickets — ONLY $40

And that’s not all…

🚘 KU Car Club will have a dedicated presence in the car show on the Midway, directly in front of the stadium. We’ll be bringing some of our members’ builds out for race fans to check out throughout the weekend.

We’re also planning cruises leading up to race weekend, with more drives, meets, and events to come as we continue building this relationship with Kansas Speedway and NASCAR.

This is just the beginning. 👀

We’re leaving the door wide open for future collaborations, media opportunities, car shows, cruises, events, promotions, and other ways KU Car Club can work alongside the Speedway and NASCAR.

We couldn’t be more excited to represent the University of Kansas car community on one of the biggest racing weekends in Kansas. ❤️💙

This Friday, the 28th, we’re meeting at Lot 392 at 4:00 PM, then cruising out together to K1 Speed.

Students get 50% off, only $15 per race.

Quick update for tonight, the Guitars & Cadillacs meet got canceled, so we’re switching things up and doing our own KU Car Club welcome back cruise instead. We’ll meet at the KU Union parking garage top floor at 5:00, roll out around 5:30, cruise around Lawrence for a bit, then end up on Mass St and grab dinner at Papa Keno’s. Come out, bring your friends, and let’s still make a night out of it.

We’ll be meeting at the KU Union Garage at 5:00 PM and rolling out together at 5:30 PM for the Driveline KC meet from 6:00–8:00 PM.
