⛽ IMPORTANT UPDATE ON OUR UPCOMING FUEL SYSTEM UPGRADES
First, we want to sincerely thank everyone for the overwhelming support and kind words following our recent announcement. It truly means a lot to all of us here at Carey’s!
Unfortunately, we've had an unexpected change in plans.
We had every intention of continuing our fuel service throughout construction using temporary pumps on our property. However, the necessary arrangements for temporary fueling could not be completed within our construction timeline.
While this is disappointing, especially since keeping our customers fueled and our pump attendants working throughout construction was a priority, we're still moving forward with this much-needed investment in our future.
🚧 Here's what to expect:
Construction in our parking lot will begin Monday, October 19th, as preparations get underway for the new underground tanks.
Our current gas pumps will remain OPEN as long as possible! We anticipate being able to continue fueling for several days after construction begins, but we don't have an exact shutdown date just yet.
Once the existing pumps are taken out of service, gasoline sales will be temporarily unavailable until the new system is operational.
Our goal is to complete the project in approximately four weeks, weather and unforeseen circumstances permitting.
Throughout construction, our repair shop, parts department, propane service, and 24-hour towing will continue operating.
When it's all said and done, we'll have brand-new tanks, upgraded pumps with 24-hour card access, and most importantly, the same full service and familiar faces you've come to know over the years!
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. This isn't how we hoped the transition would go, but we're doing everything we can to make it as smooth as possible.
