PSA:
Do not buy gift cards from a store! Even if purchasing from customer service in store you can be scammed! This happened at a local Walmart.
Gift card would not load at the cash register, was instructed to go to customer service. There we were informed the card was “bad”. The CS agent gave us a” new “ card from behind the counter. When attempted to use the card was empty. When we returned to store, the card had already been used twice and was empty. Once shortly after purchasing.
A better choice to purchase gift cards is from the retailer or restaurant website! Many offer e-gift cards that deliver in a few hours. You can print the card and give accordingly. At least you know your card isn’t compromised.
